About Me
A Ugandan based in the United Kingdom, currently working as a finance professional with experience in internal audit, accounting, reporting and control. I hold a BScEcon in Economics and Finance from Cardiff University, a GDip in Humanities and Social Sciences from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and an MSc in Accounting and Management from QMUL as well. I gladly note that I was a recipient of the Drapers Company Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in my masters degree, and I am currently working towards attaining a CGMA designation.
Why I Started Writing
I didn’t start writing because I had all the answers — I started because I had questions.
I believe financial clarity is powerful and that more people deserve access to it — not through complexity, but through conversation.
My goal is to share what I learn in a way that resonates with anyone — whether they work in finance or just want to feel more in control of their own.
When I first started studying finance, much of the terminology felt like a foreign language. But slowly, I learned that behind the jargon were very human concerns: risk, value, growth, survival. I’ve noticed that many people feel the same about their own money — uncertain, overwhelmed, even shut out. So I’ve made it part of my goal to explore finance in a way that’s more inclusive, curious, and digestible. I don’t just want to use financial language — I want to help translate it.
Working in finance has helped me see how businesses make decisions with care, plan for uncertainty, and measure what matters. But those same lessons apply to life outside the boardroom too — saving with purpose, setting goals, and making better everyday choices. My interest lies in that intersection: how commercial finance principles can sharpen our personal money habits. That’s what I write about — and reflect on — as I grow in the profession.
I’ve come to believe that finance isn’t about being perfect with money. It’s about being thoughtful. And it’s not a language only for professionals — it can be for anyone, as long as it’s explained with clarity and care. That’s part of what drives me. As I pursue my career in commercial finance, I’m equally passionate about making financial thinking accessible to more people — whether they work in business, manage a household, or simply want to feel more in control of their money.
This site is a space where I break down what I’m learning — from business to personal finance — and share it in ways that are as practical as they are digestible. Click the button below to browse the blog and read the latest posts.
